About 3 weeks ago we launched a competition for pre-seed companies together with the new Israeli High Tech Industry Association . We offered the companies the opportunity to win a free company booth and tickets to the Association’s annual Conference.(7-9 June 2010) The contest was close and tight, and here are our 3 winning companies for 2010.

In the competition, each company submitted an introductory post about its promising technology. The 3 most popular posts are now given a free booth and tickets to the conference. Posts were ranked by the total amount of Facebook ‘like’s, Tweets, post comments(including Facebook comments on page).

10 companies participated in the competition with 10 exciting posts on some of the more advanced technologies developed in israel. The companies enjoyed wide exposure on The Wadi, social networks and daily online and printed media.

Here are the 3 winning company post and their score:

Ringbow: Control your Touch Screen (1st, 621 points)

Ringbow is a ring device that enhances the way we interact with finger based interfaces such as touch screens, hand-gestures recognition and augmented reality. Sortfix: improving your Google Search (2nd, 532 points)

SortFix is a new enterprising company that has developed a unique search technology for providing a personalized search experience. Combining powerful text-analysis algorithms with a simple and intuitive SUI (Search User Interface), SortFix allows users to easily define a concept or a question, then sort, navigate, review, and update their search query in order to retrieve results that meet their requirements.

Colnect: A social network for collectors (3rd, 211 points)

Collectors connect on Colnect. Winner of the Startup2.0 competition, Colnect offers unique services to collectors worldwide. Colnect is available in 50 languages and offers extensive collectibles catalogs which provide the base for personal collection management and easy Auto-Matching for swaps.
