The Wadi Launches

We are proud to launch TheWadi.com today, March 8th 2010. The Wadi is a blog and company index for Israeli technology companies and start-ups. We have one major goal: providing maximal and constant exposure to Israeli technology worldwide.

Our readers will be informed on all the latest technology news coming from Israel. Company launches, new features, new products, investments, funding and cooperations – all will be available to TheWadi readers and followers.  For now, our limelight will be on web companies. Their technology, products and services will be extensively covered here. In the near future we aim to expand the coverage to other technologies besides the web: hardware, bio, cleantech, etc. In addition to new technology reports, we will also provide professional reviews on Israeli technology and interviews with leading industry experts.

Our company index already consists of over 30 companies, and will expand to hundreds in the next few weeks. Looking for a company on the index and it isn’t there? Wish to add a company? Submit it using this form. The appearance in the index is free. Every company in the index will also be added to our Twitter list showing tweets of all companies we cover. The Wadi also offers industry companies, VC’s and experts to partner with us and benefit higher added value from the company index and site exposure.

TheWadi.com can be followed via Twitter, Facebook, Google buzz, LinkedIn and RSS.

The people behind The Wadi team are Gal Mor, editor in chief, Yohay Elam, head writer and Doron Gez, business developer. The combined experience of the founding team brings to The Wadi quality writing, editing and profound understanding of the Israeli tech industry. We are committed to deliver our readers professional and up-to-date coverage. The Wadi will provide quality content regarding Israeli technology.

Our target audience includes hundreds of Israeli tech companies, journalists, bloggers and everybody that is interested in Israeli technologies.

The seeds to Israeli technology achievements and developments begin in the 1950’s. Today the web enables Israeli technology and ideas to spread around the globe and enjoy international recognition. The latest coverage on TechCrunch, ReadWriteWeb and the book ‘Start-up Nation’ helped increase the awareness for Israeli technology. With that said, there are still quite a lot of companies with great technology still not getting enough coverage and exposure, and that’s where the TheWadi steps in.

We would be more than happy to hear your thoughts and feedback. Have news, updates for The Wadi? Submit a company to the index? Contact us.

Visit The Wadi again and learn more on Israeli technology and start-ups.
