Wibiya, which provides a rich website toolbar, is now offering 3 new applications: Twitter lists, Backtype’s Web Chatter and video from Justin TV.

In our Wibiya review, we’ve covered many popular applications available on Wibiya’s toolbar. Similar to the options already available earlier on Wibiya, these three new applications are all about more user engagement through richer content.

Twitter Lists: We’ll start with Wibiya’s home-made application. It enhances Wibiya’s Twitter capabilities by enabling the rather-new feature of lists. Multiple lists can be shown to the site’s visitors. The tweets are updated in real-time, show user information and most importantly – allow user interaction – replying to the tweets. This feature is expected to increase the visitor’s time on the site and possibly make him a new follower.

BackType Web Buzz: BackType collects comments on a specific topic from various sources. We use it here in The Wadi: you can see tweets in the comments. Wibiya’s toolbar application can show web conversations on topics of choice and enable search. This is mostly intended to enrich the content.

Justin TV: The last application will probably be used by a small number of sites – those that also have a Justin.TV channel. Wibiya enables live broadcast through the toolbar and seeing the number of live viewers, similar to the Who’s Online application. Additional features are an ability to chat or view previous broadcasts. This will definitely increase time on site for those sites that use Justin.TV.

All in all, the guys at Wibiya continue to work hard in providing more options and keeping up to date.
