Abstract: Saveby is a self-serve group shopping platform. It enable consumers from across the social web- who are interested in the same product, to band together and get it at group discount. Sellers/brands/merchants on the platform enjoy mass volume sales and instant payment.
A few key points:
- Saveby is strictly a platform which means it does not negotiate the deals, owns or stocks any products. It is not a group coupon business and has no geographical limitations.
- No registration: Any Facebook or Twitter user can simply connect to Saveby. They can also Tweet the group deal to their followers and post it on their Facebook status feed
- To join a group, buyers must first commit with PayPal pre-authorization. Real money only changes hands once a seller agrees to the buyer’s group offer
