Review: VisualBee offers Powerful Presentations with a click

Share

VisualBee, an Israeli startup presenting today at the HTIA Conference, develops technology which enhances PowerPoint presentations. The software automatically analyzes the text and format of the users PP slides and enhances them with images, background colours and new design. Does the software deliver the goods? We took it for a spin.

See which startups TheWadi readers chose to present at the HTIA conference 2010

For this review we used the VisualBee free Beta 3 version on 2 different presentations. The first is an old, well built presentation, and the second is a new basic presentation which we produced in minutes just to test VisualBee.

Before starting work with VisualBee, the user must download and register the software, which was simple and free from  special difficulties. The first presentation I tested on VisualBee was one I built in minutes with plane text and a few images. The VisualBee has 5 different set themes to choose from: Classic, Formal, Colorful, Artistic and Extreme. For this Presentation I found the artistic theme to be the best fit, here is the ‘before’ and ‘after’ VisualBee enhancement:

Power Point before VisualBee

And after running VisualBee

Power Point after VisualBee

The result, which was indeed attained with a single click, is impressive, although on other slides with more text the changes were kept mostly to the background while nothing was done to the format and design. The final result of the complete presentation is not bad considering the minimal effort invested in  copying simple text to slides.

In our second case, I took a ready, well edited and organized presentation and ran it through the VisualBee application. In this case the result was really exciting and the application matched relevant images, design and background:

PP before VisualBee

PP before VisualBee

PP after VisualBee

PP after VisualBee

In conclusion, VisualBee does deliver an enhanced slideshow with ‘one-click’, although, in order to receive a quality result there is still a need for  thought  by the user in organizing the content and structure of the presentation before running the software. The software also enables fine tuning and changes after the automatic work is done, on the VisualBee screen itslef. It will be interesting to follow VisualBee’s next releases and see the development of this automatic tool in the future.

Thanks for the review. I tried VisualBee and it really works!! It added nice pictures and completely redesigned some of my old, butt-ugly presentations.

Now I need another program that'll read my emails and post replies :)

I recommend this software. It's so easy to use and saves hours of tedious work preparing boring slides for presentations..
With this software, I just divide my data into plain white slides and the visualbee software turns it into a full colorful and ready-to-use presentation. It inserts pictures too!
Just go to www.visualbee.com, download it and enjoy!
