Waze, a mobile navigation application that allows drivers to build and use live maps, real time traffic updates and more, just launched a new Blacberry Application for business users and also updated their iPhone application.

The new application, still in
beta, is available only on Waze’s Hebrew website and can also be reached on mobile at http://m.waze.co.il . However, the English version should be here real soon, according to a post on Waze’s blog.
Supported devices for the new application are Blackberry Curve 8900, Blackberry Bold 9000, Blackberry Tour 9630 and Blackberry Bold 9700.
The new application for Blackberry does not support some Waze features, although all basic actions, including voice guided GPS instructions, Real Time traffic, regeneration of routes according to traffic, updates from users, Twitter and Foursquare support and plenty more features are inside.
Waze launched a new iPhone version this week with some new features:
- A ‘report abuse’ feature – the community is growing and there are many interactions taking place. Some people take
advantage of the system. Waze enables users to flag inappropriate users. After crossing a certain number of reports by different users, a user will automatically be disabled from pinging.
So, what else is new?
- An improved, and much better‐looking navigation bar allowing bigger texts and ETA.
- Auto-update your Facebook status from Waze. This follows the same support for Twitter.
- Adding street names and house numbers from the client – this feature is available in Grid countries only, and will be developed later for additional purposes.
- Invite your Facebook friends to Waze. In the future Waze will enable showing your friends in the client.
