Reminder: The three posts with the biggest amount of comments, facebook “likes” and retweets will earn their companies a free booth and tickets to the event, Competition ends TODAY (2.06.2010)
The post was delivered by Gadi, from Mind360:
Did you ever think brain training could be cool? That working on improving your cognitive skills doesn’t have to be work? That you can actually enjoy the process and gain some extra gray cells along the way?
Have we got news for you! Mind360.com has made brain training FUN!
How did we do it, you wonder. Well, we gathered a group of leading cognitive psychologists, combined with top-notch online game designers to develop both fun and effective solutions for boosting and sustaining users’ mental health. The end result is Mind360.com – a new cutting-edge online cognitive training platform. We provide scientifically based brain training games for improving key cognitive skills including: memory, attention, executive functions, thinking and reasoning, and visual perception.
A training routine of ten minutes a day is enough to ensure optimum mental fitness, but once you start playing you will find yourself spending much longer exploring other games, challenging your friends to top your scores and striving to achieve trophies and reach the top of the best player’s list.
Following Mind360’s success of the private market, we thought, why shouldn’t schools enjoy the benefits of brain training? And so, at the beginning of 2010, we launched a two month pilot session at an Israeli high-school. The participating students played mind360’s engaging brain training games as enjoyable way to strengthen their cognitive skills, ultimately aiming to improve their learning skills. The pilot was declared a success, showing progress in the students’ achievements and providing them with learning skills that are useful for a lifetime.
When we started we combined a reaction-speed game with a piece of actuality. Check this out, enjoy, and exercise your brain-hand coordination: http://www.mind360.com/infopages/bush_shoe_game
The best thing about playing Mind360’g games is that its benefits extend far beyond strengthening the brain while having a fun time. With enhanced mental fitness come greater self-esteem, more rewarding careers, social relationships, and overall higher quality of life.
In short, you get to play fun games, improve your cognitive skills and become a cooler person. Could life get any better than that?
