Google I/O – 6rounds Launches Developers API

6rounds, an Israeli based social platform, launched it’s developers API at the Google I/O event held in San-Fransisco yesterday. Developers can now create multi-player activities and games for 6rounds’ feature rich video chat platform.

The release of 6rounds’ developers API, allows developers to easily transfer their existing social activities onto the 6rounds platform, or create completely new applications based on the company’s  video chat. According to 6rounds develops will soon be able to better package their applications by embedding them in a stand-alone widget for faster and wide distribution.

In an earlier review of 6rounds on The Wadi we mentioned that the company’s application stands out in the crowded video chat playing field by offering an array of zany features that make for a cool and funny user experience.  The Developers API release is another step in the right direction enabling 6rounds to grow by benefiting developers who create apps based on the video chat platform.

It should be interesting to follow 6rounds and see what kind of applications will be created and how they will effect the future of video chat.
