About
Wadi is the Arabic word for a dry river bed.
Silicon Wadi is an area with a high concentration of hi-tech industries in the coastal plain in Israel, similar to the Silicon Valley in California, in the United States. The Silicon Wadi is considered second in importance only to its Californian counterpart (Wikipedia)
Both the global demand for advanced Internet Israeli technologies and the number of entrepreneurs, ideas and achievements that have come out of Israel have been on the rise in the past decade. Nevertheless, although in many cases the products and services developed were original and valuable, the companies fail to get noticed. This is due to difficulties these companies experience in gaining the necessary presence and PR resources to get the traction they deserve.
TheWadi.com’s mission is to become a hub for Israeli hi-tech companies, offering wide coverage of their activities in the English language. Our motto is “Israeli technologies revealed“. We aim to publish all the relevant news for Israeli Internet companies in global markets in real time – becoming the first source for these news.
TheWadi’s content consists of:
- Launches of Israeli web start ups.
- New products and features by Israeli web companies.
- Reviews of new services.
- Major economic events: co-operations, mergers, buyouts, etc.
- Interviews with the people behind the keyboards.
- In-depth articles.
In addition to news, we’ve launched an index of Israeli web companies that includes details about their activities, latest news, contact details and in the future will include an option to order detailed reports by email.
