3 promising Israeli Startups to look for on MS ThinkNext 2010

Think Next, The annual event of Microsoft’s Research and Development Center in Israel, will be held on April 14th, with keynote by Craig Mundie – Microsoft’s Chief research & strategy officer. We reviewed some of the promising Israeli startups to show on ThinkNext’s DemoFest A technology fair including dozens of demonstrations of innovations in technology. Here are some promising companies to watch.

Profiler 1

Profiler1’s product promises to discover human personality in seconds over the mobile and the web by answering questions like: Will he pay for the dinner? Is she faithful?  Is it a way to “unleash your friends’ secrets in seconds” or just another empty promise. We would happy to test the service and find out. The service available on leading social networks, dating platforms, and other websites.

Eyesight

eyeSight’s Touch Free technology allows people to interact with mobile phones and portable devices by simple hand gestureseyeSight’s software-based gesture detection technology employs advanced image processing and machine vision algorithms.  The technology tracks users’ hand motions in front of a camera, converting them into commands that are sent to the relevant application. eyeSight will present demos of Hand Gesture controlled:  MP3 player, web browsing, photo gallery, Navigation system, games and more.

My6sense

My6Sense tries to solve one of the side-effects of the information era – the growing influx of information which is a mix of relevant signals and unnecessary noise. A simple test will find that 24 hours a day aren’t enough to digest all this information. With info piling up, services like My6Sense become essential.

My6Sense developed a technology named Digital Intuition – a mechanism that ranks content according to the relevancy for the user. This is based on all the sources of information that the user defines. During the installation process, you’ll be asked to define your RSS readers and social network streams: Facebook, Twitter and others.

On ThinkNext MyChic will be demonstrating its solution for the eyeglass industry. Choosing an eyeglass frame on-line becomes easy and reliable when one can virtually see how different frames fit. The demo will present an automatic on-line fitting and tracking of various eyeglass frames, with “on-the-fly” customization options.
